The Friends of Animals are an animal rights group based out of Connecticut and today they need our help!

In Nevada wild horses and burros are being tortured by the US government by helicopters and other horrific means. The US government has decided to side with the cattle industry when deciding who will have access to large parts of land for eating (grazing).

The most disgusting thing is that the Nevada lawmakers have a bill out that will deny horses from drinking water, I only assume this must mean that they will somehow block off the areas that have water so that wild horses can not access it. Obviously if the poor horses are unable to reach water they will die because like humans, horses need water to survive.

In fact Nevada rounds up tens of thousands horses per year in a very aggressive manner. Often times horses are driven to their deaths during these roundups because the terrain is so tough and exhaustion sets in. In a land where there were millions of horse there are now only about 38,000, but Nevada somehow decided that is too many.

A hero by the name Madeleine Pickens even spent millions of dollars buying up acres and acres of land to build a sanctuary for these animals but guess what? The US government would not give her the horses, why? I do not get this at all.

And to really top things off in 1971 an act was put into place to make sure the US government took care of these precious animals with sanctuaries just like the one Mrs Pickens created.

Please help these horses and get in touch with The Friends of Animals, they are the only ones that are willing to help these animals, they really need our help,

Here is their website The Friends of Animals
