Fifty Shades of Grey is a book that's been igniting the forgotten loins of sex-deprived housewives across the world for the last few months. It's erotica for the desperate, and the whole of society has been buying into the author's lurid fantasies of a sexual romance gone awry. Are you yawning yet? With this tale comes the opportunity for Hollywood to make a little bit of money with the movie, tightly based on the Fifty Shades of Grey books. The question is, "Who will play the part of the innocent Ana? And who will teach her the ways of passionate, unrealistic sex in the role of Christian Grey?" There have been a few speculations with the desperate masses weighing in on who they believe would do the books justice; however, they're bypassing those who have raunchy sex and pretend they like it for a living anyway... porn stars!
The 50 Shades of Grey movie would stick as close to the script as possible; therefore, it's imagined that the actors and actresses involved would have to be comfortable with partial or full-frontal nudity and scenes of intense sexual encounter. I hear Lindsay Lohan is available! The biggest problem for producers would be casting someone for the part of the naive and virginal, Anastasia Steele -- no one in Hollywood could fit that description... even the Disney kids are usually corrupt.
The author of Fifty Shades of Grey admitted that her intended demographic was teens and college girls. She had hoped these stories would be equivalent in popularity with the Twilight series, and that's how this book began -- as an internet sensation for twi-hards who wanted something a little more sexual. Honestly, who gives a book like Fifty Shades of Grey to a 14 year old? It's rife with sexual suggestion, intimate scenes of nothing but animalistic humping, and BDSM references. Of course, this Christmas every little teenage girl will want her very own set of whips and chains, courtesy of a 'sex sells' franchise.
On another note, the 50 Shades of Grey movie has already been blamed for problems in marriage and relationships, and it's not even released yet. What did the author expect to happen when she distributed a sensual book of erotica to horndog housewives around America? This isn't just another book-club discussion. Women have become so wrapped up in the stories of Christian Grey that many of their husbands and boyfriends are feeling neglected over how much time they spend on the book and movie forums, putting in their 2 cents over who would be the perfect film stars.
One thing can be said about the prospective 50 Shades of Grey movie. When and if it does come out, the theatres will be packed from floor to ceiling with all manner of clamorous and excited ladies. Left behind men might stand a chance if they wait outside the theatre for after the movie when hormones will be high and panties will be damp. Until then, this fantasy tale is rumored to start filming in early 2014.
