Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth: Too Young Says Brother Chris

Guess who's in the news again: Miley Cyrus and her boytoy Liam Hemsworth. This time brother Chris Hemsworth has joined the headline with them.

You may have already heard through the twitter grapevine, that Miley Cyrus and serious boyfriend Liam Hemsworth have been toying around with the idea of getting married. There has been much speculation recently about a possible engagement, particularly when Miley recently posted a picture of a ring on her twitter account. It turns out that it wasn't an engagement ring, but big brother Chris Hemsworth took the opportunity to express his feelings about the two getting married.

The exact comment in question came when Chris was at the premier of his own movie, The Avengers (which I can't wait to see). When asked whether or not he had heard anything about Miley and Liam getting engaged, he replied, "They're like 21 or something. I can't see that happening...".

Aside from the fact that Chris got both of their ages wrong (typical brother) I really don't see the big deal here. Miley's reaction speaks more about the maturity of Miley Cyrus then it does the character or intent of Chris Hemsworth. Honestly, how many times have you tried to give some good advice to a friend and they just freak out? Chris was just trying to point out that they are both really immature to be getting into something so huge, like marriage.

Let's look at the facts. Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend have been toying with the idea of getting engaged. Like any couple, they started dropping subtle hints to the people around them. In the case of Miley Cyrus , her super stardom allows her to drop hints to millions of fans on twitter. (Spoiled much?)

It seems that Miley was so lost in her own wonderful world that she had created in her mind (or that her dad created for her over years of spoiling her rotten), that when the older and somewhat wiser older brother stepped in dispensing wisdom like it was Pez candies, she freaked. It isn't impossible to get married that young and still make it work, but wasn't Chris just looking out for the both of them? Divorce sucks. It is rough for everyone, but imagine having it plastered and displayed in public. I think it was a totally appropriate for Chris to say what he felt. Looking out for family is a good thing, right?

Like the spoiled child that Cyrus is, hearing anything even resembling the word no (a word that lies hidden and dormant in her already limited vocabulary), really set her off. It seems that the take away from this little incident is that Miley Cyrus May be a bit more serious about this whole engagement thing that anyone previously thought. If she wasn't so serious, she wouldn't have been so offended by the comment.
Keep a lookout for further developments. I predict a long string of denials from Miley and boyfriend Liam followed by a surprise "We were engaged the whole time" drama fest.
