Vanessa Bryants Divorce Even Good Couples Turn Bad
Just two days ago, Vanessa told the media that she was finally divorcing Kobe Bryant. At one time, she said that she couldn't be married to someone who couldn't win championships. She certainly had her priorities set, didn't she? Listening to stuff like this makes me realize how low people can be. Apparently, they're both a little messed up.
In spite of the fact that Kobe didn't win championships, the couple got married and is now going through a very public divorce. In June, Vanessa made it known that she no longer wanted to make things work. She filed for divorce from Kobe Bryant, because he was unfaithful. That's not shocking considering the fact that Kobe cheated on Vanessa with several different women and then wanted to make things work. I'm amazed by the idiocy. I've heard about a lot of bad relationships, but people who cheat make me sick. It's bad enough that Kobe cheated on his wife with multiple women. But it's even worse that he did it several times. You would think that a super successful NBA star would have the common sense to realize he could lose millions.
Does he even realize that this could hurt his career and potentially ruin him as a suitable mate for anyone? It just makes me sick that these celebrities think they're untouchable. I don't blame Vanessa for leaving someone who has such little class. I'd expect more from someone who's an idol for young people and other do-gooders in America. Maybe Kobe finally subscribed to his parents' unsavory opinion of Vanessa. They didn't think she was right for him and didn't want him to marry her.
He ignored his parents and at the time and did the right thing. He married her. Now it just makes me sick that he took his family's advice and discarded Vanessa like a piece of trash. Come on, Hollywood, let's act like normal, civilized citizens.

Ashley said: I suppose she entered into a union with Bryant knowing full well that stars of Bryant's caliber spend untold days and weeks overseas fulfilling sponsorship duties. You know, all the stuff that leads to all those houses and all those cars and even helicopters; things that sometimes only lead to a 45-win record despite 35 points per game.
It's easy to understand what Vanessa is getting at, but she can't have it both ways here. Add in the fact that this is a team game and that no star (no matter how great, or how many hours put in) can win a championship just about by himself, and you're left with a pretty silly statement.

But at the same time, good on her, cheating is the most low act you can do in a relationship and I completely understand where Vanessa is coming from!
