Casey Anthony. The name is enough to enrage some and send shivers up the spines of others. It's associated with murder of a child and where this woman goes, death and malice seem to follow. She is the epitome of all things putrid and wrong with the justice system, and it has officially been quite some time since she was in the tabloids with her verdict of Not Guilty. Yet, she can't stay out of the magazines! A woman as sought after as the celebrities we love to hate, Casey Anthony is again at the center of another scandal sweeping the internet airwaves.
What has she done this time?
In a tell-all book written by Casey Anthony's lawyer, Jose Baez, Anthony's father is fingered as the speculated murderer. Baez claims that Miss Anthony regaled him with tales of sexual abuse and incest at the hands of her father; an unholy union that resulted in a child, Caylee Anthony. Miss Anthony goes onto have said she believes her dad killed Caylee to hide the fact he had fathered her -- then denied it because incest with his own daughter was more terrible than his granddaughter also being the product of his loins.
This is obviously a sick and twisted turn of events, but it makes not one lick of difference in the decided murder case. All the courts would have to go on if they chose to pursue this new venue would be the word of the most despised woman in America. It's the equivalent of believing and picking the lesser of two evils -- Casey Anthony, or her father, George Anthony. This is also hard to believe considering Casey tried the sexual abuse and incestuous pregnancy angle at her trial, which resulted in a court-ordered DNA test and a negative for George being Caylee Anthony's father.
While that doesn't prove he was hiding anything, it does prove that Casey Anthony would likely say anything to get herself out of hot water for the murder of her little girl. It also proves that her lawyer is a douchebag who will bring this tragedy back into the public's view just to earn a few bucks for himself. He's making money off a child's murder; an action that proclaims loudly that Jose Baez is no better a person than the woman he's writing about.
