She was found not guilty of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee Marie Anthony; the stunning verdict was handed down on July 5, 2011 after 11 hours of deliberation. Casey Anthony was also acquitted of manslaughter and aggravated abuse of a child. She was however found guilty of providing false information to a law enforcement officer.

There was reasonable doubt? then why was the first vote 10 - 2 for a murder 1 conviction. the jury just didn't want anymore to do with this case and simply thru in the towel when they realize they would be sequested for several more weeks. If this case was not beat to death by nancy grace, Casey anthony would be waiting for a needle in the arm right now, instead of shaking up with her lawyer and plannng her next crime spree.
CA replied to rich : Um.. I'll check into that again, but from what I recall hearing, the murder 1 vote was 10- NOT guilty and 2- Guilty.. I'll come back w/that info.
Never mind- I found it. Rich you should do a little more research before you comment. It was(according to this ANTI-Casey article) TEN for NOT guilty and TWO FOR guilty on the murder 1.

CA replied to rich : Correction the very fact that Nancy Grace beat this case to death is the MAIN reason Casey Anthony WOULD have been waiting for a needle in her arm-- if the decision was up to the PUBLIC and MEDIA she'd NEVER have a chance at FAIR trial. THANK GOD it's not up to THEM or we'd ALL be rotting in a prison cell!
